I can’t express how much we love the entire office!! I have had 2 kids get braces from Hallgren and it’s been a great experience. Always on time! Friendly staff! And a perk we just found out about, they give out birthday cards with a gift card in it! My son received one for his 13th bday and instantly put a huge smile on his face!

Best Orthodontist you can ever find!!!!
I'm so grateful to have come across this Orthodontist office. The comments are definitely not lying about this place. Dr. Hallgren and his lovely team were able to help me through my process after my terrible experiences with Smile Direct Club (which is bankrupt now). The staff are so nice and welcoming; they truly are the best of the best! I love my smile, and it wouldn't be the best without Dr. Hallgren!! Thank you for the journey, and I am blessed to have been a patient!

Dr Hallgren is unbelievably talented and has the best bedside manner. The staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. Morgan does fantastic work and keeps things fun. Highly recommend Dr Hallgren and his crew for any orthodontic needs.

Dr. Hallgren is hands down the best orthodontist around. I got braces here and I’m glad I didn’t go anywhere else. Everyone in the office is so welcoming and friendly, and every step of the way is explained so you know what to expect and what’s going to happen. They’re very understanding too, and scheduling is a breeze. If you need braces, go here!! I couldn’t be happier with my new smile ❤️

Dr. Hallgren and staff are amazing. My son is currently in braces and my daughter, and I have "graduated" from our braces already. He treated my daughter first and it was such a seamless experience that when my dentist told me I too needed braces, Dr. Hallgren was my first choice. They have a reward system for the kids which keeps them interested in their own dental care. Recently my son was hit in the mouth (with braces on) during football practice and shifted his wire to where it was poking into his gums. I felt guilty calling the "emergency" number, but he was in so much pain. Dr. Hallgren answered almost immediately and came in on his day off to help fix my sons problem. He also took the extra time to do his routine appointment that was scheduled 4 days from the accident so as to save us a trip back to the office. Dr. Hallgren and staff are top notch, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else for orthodontic care. Thank you so much for your continued care!

I highly recommend this practice along with Dr. Hallgren and his staff! The team is fantastic, knowledgeable and kind. They went over multiple treatment options in great detail and answered all of my questions. I had to move during treatment for a job and they helped me with every step along the way, making the transition seamless. Hands down the best orthodontist practice in Kalamazoo!

I LOVE the staff here! I finished my orthodontic treatment before moving to Kalamazoo, but have visited this office multiple times to get retainers and then for a few adjustments/questions here and there. I started seeing Dr. Steven Hallgren and then Dr. Kevin Hallgren for the later visits-- they both have incredible bedside manner and really answer all questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. I just consulted with Dr. Hallgren to get clear aligners and the process was so smooth and informative that it makes me wish I had originally gone through orthodontic treatment with them.
For my consultation today, Ellen was friendly and listened to all of my orthodontic concerns before leading me back to get photos/x-rays done by Mary. I've interacted with Mary in the past when I was getting impressions to get my retainers, and she has continued to be so NICE.
After the photos and x-rays were done, Dr. Hallgren reviewed them, did an exam in my mouth, and discussed my concerns with me. Not once did he make me feel silly about my questions, and he really listened to me about what I wanted to do. He gave me a few options for treatment, listened to my input, and then gave me full freedom to choose what I wanted to do. I really liked this as I feel like I was able to make a conscious choice, instead of being like "Oh... yeah I guess that would work" (if that makes sense).
Anyways, after all was said and done they gave me a treatment cost sheet to look over and did not make me sign anything or put down a deposit during the consultation (which was also complimentary). At this point Ellen and I started chatting again and she told me she had a lot of the same concerns as me (clear aligners, needing a root canal, and getting a tooth internally bleached). She was, again, SO nice and gave me a lot of tips on when/where to get my root canal done. I really appreciated as this wasn't really related to my consultation, but she was still kind enough to give me the advice and assuage my fears regarding the procedure.
I know this review is long but I seriously cannot emphasize enough how much I love the staff at this office! From the front office to the rest of the staff, they are are SO kind. I wish I had moved to Kalamazoo before getting braces because I would have 100% gone with them!
I've probably said "nice" and "kind" a thousand times in this review, but it's how I really feel. Not only is Dr. Hallgren amazing, so is the rest of the staff. Orthodontic treatment can be scary, but this is the place to go.

I had braces with Hallgren back in middle school, but of course I was bad about wearing my retainer so I went back for some alignment trays. They have done a wonderful job making my teeth look perfect again, and have worked with me every step of the way. I’m so glad I went back to Hallgren as opposed to attempting Invisalign myself, and it was SO much cheaper!

My son and I were introduced to the Hallgren family almost two years ago. Since day one we have been greeted and welcomed with open arms. Dr. Hallgren, Ellen, and the staff are so friendly, and treat you like family. The ambiance is warm and friendly. Dr. Hallgren is an exceptional orthodontist.
