Dr. Wayne Tie earned his undergraduate degree in 2010 at the University of Chicago, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He completed his medical degree in 2014 at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 2015 at the University of California – Irvine. He completed his Ophthalmology residency in 2018 at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2019, he completed his glaucoma fellowship at Tufts University – New England Eye Center and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.

He is a very good intelligent doctor and he sticks to the script. He is always on time and he is a no nonsense type of doctor. He asks the questions and answers my concerns in a straightforward manner and does not hesitate to tell you exactly what is going on and how he can fix it! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Wayne Tie, explained the logistics of my left eye cataract removal. He was thorough, honest and answered any questions.
He came to the pre op to visit with me and also post op to share what to expect. Also, I received information pertaining to the following day office visit.

My cataract surgery went well. At my follow up visit he checked my eyes, talked with me about my vision needs going forward. I have a prescription for new glasses to be available when I need them.
