After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2004, Dr. Wilkening earned his Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkley in 2009. His training included externships at the V.A. Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, California, and Kaiser Permanente Point West in Sacramento California.

My daughter had been having problems with her eyes for a while. Dr. Wilkening was thorough in his diagnosis and treatment for her. And, it didn't take long. I am relieved to know what was hurting her and how to treat it.
