After earning a degree in biology and German from Rice University in 1995, Dr. Johnston completed medical school at the National University of Ireland at Cork in 2003. Dr. Johnston completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2006 and a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2008.

Dr. Johnston is attentive and does his best to answer all my questions in a way that is clear and succinct. He is, by far, the best rheumatologist that I have seen at KSC.

Because he listens to me, he hears me, and he doesn’t rush me. I changed Rhuematologist because the other one did not do these things. It feels really good to have a doctor that knows who you are and really tries to help you figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. Him and his staff have been so helpful to me!

He is a doctor that I look forward to seeing. My health issues have gotten better and he intersperses humor with serious issues. I’m thankful he is with Kelsey and that he is doing such a wonderful job.
