After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology at The University of Houston’s Honors College, Dr. Coleman went to The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) in 2002. In 2006, she completed an observership at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s Weight Management Clinic after completing a residency in Pediatrics at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi.

Dr. Kelly Coleman is smart, easy-going, knows her patient is the kid and not the parent and ALWAYS treats every ppatient and parent with the utmost respect and clearest information.
She is thorough in her questioning and note-taking to build a comprehensive record of her patients.
And she is nice, funny, and it is VERY important for my kids to see an accomplished Black Woman professional doing the amazing job she does.

She is very nice and kind pediatric doctor! Explained my kid's current needs and provided what we have to know! Great doctor!
