Austin Montondon, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant of Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. David Edelstein, who cares for his patients at our Main Campus. He assists Dr. Edelstein with surgical procedures and helps care for his patients. Austin earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish from Lamar University in Beaumont in 2002. He earned his Master in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2004. Austin then served in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2006. He was stationed in New Orleans assigned to the Navy airbase family practice clinic. Austin was deployed to Kuwait in 2006. At the time, he worked in an urgent care clinic.

He was personable and caring. He accurately figured out the problem and recommended a cortisone injection which gave me "big time" relief quicker than even he thought it would. I have had a cortisone injection at the same site many years ago that was very painful from the start. This time there was no pain.
