After earning his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, in Washington D.C., Dr. Velez completed an internship in general surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City; and completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, Florida. He completed fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jorge Velez was both professional and friendly. He took the time to really listen to me and to my daughter who accompanied me. This was an emergency visit. I was unable to bear any weight on my left knee. I have arthritis and had awoke with extreme pain. This was a new experience for me,I was alarmed, Dr. Velez reviewed my medical chart and discussed previous X-rays findings with us. His calm demeanor, and ability to articulate his determination, in lay terms, was reassuring and clamming. I wholeheartedly trust his medical judgment, as does my daughter. My daughter has a medical background so for her to place her trust in his care plan mattered. I look forward to seeing him for my future needs.

He is very friendly and being my first was very comfortable because he explained in details what was happening to my wrist been in pain for almost 6 months. Didn't have to wait long for my ex rays or see the doctors. Nurses were very friendly

He’s Very knowledgeable and understands how us patients can feel uncomfortable until we know a doctor.
He don’t make you feel uncomfortable or rushed and he really listens to you as his patient.
I Highly Recommend Dr. Velez to anyone. My husband met Dr Velez on my first and second visit and said, he really likes this doctor.
