After earning his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, in Washington D.C., Dr. Velez completed an internship in general surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City; and completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, Florida. He completed fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He has been my doctor for over 10 years. Besides being Professional, he's attentive, and cares about his patients. He's the best, I always highly recommend him .
