Dr. Sunil Patel earned his undergraduate degree in 1997 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in molecular and cell biology. He completed his medical degree in 2002 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 2005 at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology in 2008 at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in 2019, Dr. Patel cared for patients at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he was an Associate Professor and Deputy Department Chair of the Department of General Oncology, Division of Cancer Medicine, and Center Medical Director of MD Anderson’s West Houston, Katy, and Memorial City locations.

Dr. Patel was very empathetic and thorough with what the expectations would be for my chemotherapy treatment. In addition he spent a lot of time answering questions to support the decisions specific to me. This helps a patient to stay focused and positive along the difficult journey. I am most appreciative.

He is marvelous, he is kind , loving and shows that he cares about you. He explains everything to you when you leave, you have no questions unanswered. He is my kind of doctor. My aunt and daughter go with me every visit and they love him also .
My aunt said if she ever got cancer she would want to go to him. He is outstanding

He has been through in his practice. He has shown patience and gets back to me when I need him. He explains what is going on and what is being done is necessary. I have been obstinate at times and he patiently works thru the issue.
