I had a great overall experience and wanted to share.
I have an older Fuji Sportif and experienced a crank set failure mid ride. Shama explained the process and completed the repair within a fair time and a reasonable price.
I appreciate how professional and knowledgeable Shama is, great guy. Locally owned bike shops are the heartbeat of Htown. Today my bike chain was slipping off. I cycled to Shama. He fixed it and provided an excellent customer experience.

High quality local bike shop. I’ve met cyclists here that travel from out of state for Phillip’s fittings. Shama is active in the community by supporting competitions and sponsor teams of riders. I came in to buy a carbon gravel frame and wanted it to be versatile for road. Shama helped me navigate all the components for the frame build. Super happy with their work.

Small Shop with a BIG heart for all things bicycles. Mark is very knowledgeable. I will soon get a warm and fuzzy from mister shama as well in a direct appointment to fix my gravel bike while waiting. All I know is that when I needed help at a Trek store, Mark blew the horns off of Trek by giving me tips on doing certain repairs I can do on my own.

Best bike shop ever! Run by great people who love what they do. They go above and beyond - besides giving fast and efficient service at a fair price, they let me know other issues happening with my bike that I was totally unaware of. If it wasn’t for Shama Cycles I could have gotten into a bad accident on the road because a major screw was missing. I also had multiple tubes and tires fixed here. I’m not into the fancy racing stuff but I can tell they offer support at the professional level, including attire and accessories. There’s a comfy couch and TV inside to hang out while getting your repairs done and complimentary water. Definitely recommend coming here for your biking needs.

Phil and his team are the best in the business. Truly. I walked into his store the first time not knowing anything about cycling or bikes. I was overwhelmed and worried that someone would take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I owned a road bike from 2018, but that was about it. I’d begun training for an Ironman about 6 months prior (never cycled or done anything other than a sprint tri 6 years prior), and knew I needed to make some changes on my bike but wasn’t sure how much money to spend on a bike or parts or anything. Multiple people I trust who are cyclists and triathletes said that Shama is the only person they would go to and they trusted him implicitly-and they were right! I did a bike fitting with Phil, and he was incredibly patient (and trust me, I’m picky!..or as he says “discerning” :)). He took the time to make sure that every aspect of the bike was comfortable. He adjusted my brake hoods, changed my stem, and changed and adjusted my saddle and seat post. He switched out my pedals and clips, and we changed my crank length and installed a power meter. Afterwards, I rode the bike or a few weeks and if I felt like it needed adjustment, he welcomed me back and made some tweaks. He truly wants his customers to feel as comfortable as possible on the bike. And let me tell you, I didn’t know that riding a bike could be so comfortable! Every switch he made was a game changer for me. He also made sure to fully explain to me the cost/benefit of each part being switched out and made it cost-effective for my specific budget and needs. He took his time explaining the pros and cons of a new bike versus my current one, various bike parts that could be switched out and upgraded later, and fully left the decision in my hands without pressuring me to spend money I didn’t want to spend. He gave his honest opinions when asked, and his recommendations truly were based on my needs and wants, and not what would make his business the most money. He’s the definition of honesty in business and puts his customers above anything else. Phil and his team are passionate about what they do. They love cycling and they want you to love it too. I’ve met so many people in the store who have been long time customers of Phil’s and they all say the same thing. From people on racing teams to beginners, he treats everyone the same and is always offering the best service possible. I’ll never go anywhere else for bike parts, gear or even a new bike (because, let’s face it, we all know I’m buying a tri bike eventually from him…how could I not?! The enthusiasm there for cycling is contagious!).
